The Baltic Adventure Rally will take place between September 12–18, 2026, offering a car adventure covering nearly 3,000 kilometers. Beyond Slovakia and Poland, the tour leads through the three unique countries of the Baltics: Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. The route intentionally avoids highways—winding mainly through backroads, small villages, and occasional dirt tracks to ensure participants truly experience the authentic Baltic atmosphere. In addition to completing the route, you’ll need to answer questions and solve challenges along the way. After finishing each daily leg, participants can choose to spend the night in a hotel or stay in a tent or their vehicle. At the end of the Baltic loop, we will all gather at the northernmost point of Estonia for a festive closing ceremony to wrap up this unforgettable adventure together, sharing experiences and stories. The most skillful teams will receive their well-deserved awards here, followed by a high-spirited celebration to close out the journey.

  • Competition or tour? Categories at the Baltic Rally

The Baltic Rally offers two different experiences—choose the one that suits you best.
    Discovery Category

    The explorers' path.
This category is for those who prioritize the scenery, the experience, and the journey itself. Diverse routes, hidden locations, and a relaxed pace await you across Slovakia, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. No pressure—just adventure.

    Challenge Category

    A little extra adrenaline.
Shorter, playful, yet technical sections where you can put yourself and your vehicle to the test. This is not a classic race, but an experience-based challenge—where the goal is personal growth and having fun.

  • Will there be real OFF-ROAD?

YES! We have included 2 genuine OFF-ROAD stages for participants in the Challenge category. One will be a classic, muddy-marshland section typical of the Baltics, while the other challenge—featuring sandy terrain and steep climbs—will be held in a technical forest setting with the professional assistance of the TARTU Off Road Club. 🚙 ⛰️ 4×4 ⚙️

  • How do we navigate? Digital roadbook, traditional paper-based roadbook, or GPS coordinates?

Routon System is a digital route and tour management system designed specifically for overland and rally events.

🧭 Precise navigation – Follow pre-loaded, GPS-based tracks so you never lose your way.

📍 Waypoints and Checkpoints – View all essential points of interest, stops, and challenges at a glance.

⚠️ Alerts and Information – Stay informed about dangerous sections, road closures, and critical updates.

🏁 Progress Tracking – Organizers can monitor your advancement while you track your own status.

📡 Offline Functionality – Works perfectly without cellular service, which is vital in remote terrain.

🤝 Safety and Coordination – Makes it easier to request assistance and ensures organized movement for the whole field.

    In summary:
The Routon System simplifies navigation, enhances safety, and makes the tour more enjoyable by letting you focus on the experience rather than searching for the right path.

  • How long are the daily stages? How many hours do we drive each day?

When designing the Baltic Adventure Rally, our primary goal was to create an experience-based rather than a performance-oriented event. The longest stage will be the first day's drive to Warsaw; from there, we cover an average of 300–400 km daily. Including stops and sightseeing, you will have approximately 10–12 hours available to complete each day’s journey.

  • Besides the driving challenges, what other programs or experiences await participants at the Baltic Rally?

Beyond the on-road and off-road excitement, participants in the Baltic Rally will pass through numerous beautiful cities where they can explore local architecture, monuments, and a unique historical atmosphere. You’ll get to know the northern face of Europe and its stunning nature—lakes, rivers, forests, and endless panoramas.
Since we visit several museums along the way, you will experience more than just the landscape; you’ll also encounter the local culture, past, and present, all while making new friends. This makes the week an equally exciting, scenic, and community-driven experience for every participant.

  • What is the ideal vehicle?

Discovery categories can be completed with a reliable SUV— there is no need for modifications. In the Challenge category you need a low gear, and diff lock is recommended. The Baltic Rally routes are designed to be enjoyable without putting undue stress on either the vehicle or the participants.

If you choose the hotel package, your gear can be much simpler: there's no need for a full camping setup or a tent, allowing you to hit the road with more ease and comfort. Of course, if you are looking for the classic overland experience, a full adventure awaits you with your own equipment.

Low-range gearing (transfer case) and some off-road driving experience are strongly recommended for the special stages.

  • Recommended tires

When choosing tires, keep in mind that the first day and last days will be spent on paved roads. Therefore, the most ideal choice is a high-quality A/T (All-Terrain) tire, which handles mixed use perfectly.

Accomodation

  • Hotel package or (wild) camping?

During the Baltic Rally, participants can choose whether to spend the week in hotels or camping. Both options offer their own unique advantages:

Camping: Closer to nature and the off-road experience, a strong community atmosphere, and the total freedom of sleeping under the stars.

Hotel: More comfortable rest, less gear required, and a great opportunity for evening gatherings with the team.

The final choice belongs to the participants—everyone can shape their week to enjoy the experience to the fullest.

Hotel Package: You can book a hotel package featuring quality accommodations with parking spaces large enough for 4x4 vehicles. This is where the teams meet up in the evenings.

    For fans of (wild) camping:

The Baltics are one of Europe's most exciting and least explored overland destinations—and that is exactly where their charm lies.

One of the greatest advantages is the vast, untouched natural landscape. The forests of Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia, with their endless gravel roads and sparsely populated regions, offer a sense of freedom that is hard to find in Western Europe today. Here, you can truly disappear off the map without having to go too far.

Furthermore, the Baltics are not yet "over-touristed." There are no crowds or congestion—just tranquility, a clean environment, and friendly, helpful locals. This is a place where overlanding is still truly about discovery, rather than just checking off designated tourist traps.

Perhaps most importantly: the feeling that makes you want to hit the road in the first place is still alive here. The freedom, the unknown, and the fact that every day is a little different—that’s what makes it a truly memorable journey.

  • How can I request a hotel package? How much does it cost?

You should indicate your request for a hotel package during the registration process.

After you apply, the organizers will contact you to discuss the details. We have uploaded several photos of the expected accommodations to the gallery. These hotels are rated 3 and 4 stars, offering various levels of service, but in all cases, they are clean and well-reviewed establishments. The price for a standard double room for 6 nights, including tourist tax and in most cases breakfast (currently being finalized), is 599 EUR.

Participation and Preparation

  • Do I need prior navigation experience?

Basic navigation knowledge is recommended, but the system is intuitive and easy to follow in every category. Each participant will receive a user-friendly application that utilizes the Routon System to display precise routes and task locations. This ensures that both orientation and every step of the challenge remain simple and seamless.

  • Can we participate as a team?

    Yes.
Participation is recommended with a crew of at least two people (driver + navigator), but we do not limit the number of team members or even the number of people traveling together in a group.

  • What does the entry fee include?

    🔘 Participation in the tour/competition

🔘 Daily stage tracks and waypoints

🔘 Descriptions of daily landmarks and sights

🔘 Starting number and starter pack

🔘 Access to the Routon System
